Confession: we hate “Castle” and miss the days of “Firefly” and “Buffy” version Nathan Fillion. But even in what we think is a kind of lame cop show, he’s still a hottie and thus we will add him to our list of hot green celebrities we love. Why is he green? Because of his dedication to finding an eco-friendly and energy efficient car to make his commute to the “Castle” set that much more environmentally friendly.Fillion is also a Twitter-addict (but realistically what celebrity isn’t these days?), which is how the world learned of his find of the Arcimoto Pulse electric car. What’s the Arcimoto Pulse? It’s a three-wheeled, totally electric vehicle that can go up to sixty-five miles per hour. So advanced in design is the Arcimoto that Fillion actually referred to it (in his tweet, of course) as his “spaceship.” A few too many Joss Whedon shows, Nathan?
Of course, the Arcimoto folks are thrilled to have a free celebrity spokesperson the status of Nathan Fillion. As a result, Arcimoto will launch a limited run of the Pules in 2011 at what we think is a totally reasonable cost of $17,500. And fear not, you don’t need to travel alone! The Arcimoto Pulse is a two-seated vehicle (the second seat can also fold down to be used to carry cargo – unless you actually think of your passenger as cargo, and who doesn’t sometimes?). You can travel forty miles per a full charge of the eight, twelve-volt batteries and it only takes six hours to be fully charged.
As has been pointed out, if you want to share your Fillion love for being green, the guy wants to host Saturday Night Live and there are a number of Facebook pages dedicated to getting him his wish. (There's more than one, but why link to three?) State your wish to see another hot green celebrity out there in the world on Saturday Night Live (is that show even relevant any more?).
