With many of our team looking to stay active all winter, we are always happy to really put soaps to the test.

What are we looking for in a bar of soap?

Well, it has to have natural ingredients, clean our skin and remove that post-work body odor, and be GREAT for the environment. The bonus would be that it is appealing to the eye as well. We would love to have soaps that both we and our guests can use versus purchasing “guest” soaps.

Winter is taking its toll on our lips. We are struggling to beat Old Man Winter back, who is currently one up on us, as we nurse our dry cracked lips.

One of our readers sent us a little care package and boy are we thankful! It contained a Lip Balm and Organic Healing Goop from Elemental Herbs. We can’t get enough.

The New Year for us means certain things have to be replaced. Yes eco-warriors, sometimes it comes down to hygiene, especially when personal care products, like your toothbrush, need to be replaced. But replacing does not mean buying “new” each time. No, we don’t mean buy a used toothbrush – gross! We mean buy one that is made from recycled materials.

Hands down winter weather means dryer skin. This can leave us wishing for that fresh dewy summer glow when we are feeling dull and dry. No we are not talking that sweaty look you get by mid-morning in the middle of summer, when the humidity is up around 90%, but rather that look that has your cheeks pink and your face feeling new and fresh. This winter we refused to give into dull dry skin and looked for a solution that would have us giddy and glowing all season long.
